According to Dead Rising 2 co-producer Shin Ohara, there has to be some sort of moderation when it comes to filling your game with enemies.
Speaking with Gamasutra, he had the following to say;
“Last year at Captivate we did a demo. We had a strip — It was probably like 10 meters wide and 200 meters long. We filled it with about 7,000 zombies. After about 3,000, you can’t really tell the difference because it fills up the screen anyway. Over 3,000, it ruins the experience. It’s not a game anymore.”
He still maintains that the Dead Rising 2 engine could handle 7000 zombies at once if required. We urge Capcom to do that – even if it’s just the once! Petrol+lighter+7000 zombies = a happy TSA Team
