P3P requires the firmware to be a 6.20 to run, quite a bit above my firmware, but I don't want to lose my custom firmware by upgrading back to official. I have a decrypter (Yashihiro's 5.55 and 6.00 games decrypter ), but as the name suggests it isn't made for 6.20 games. Do later 5.50GEN CFW's have any 6.20 support, or is there a new decrypter I can use? I haven't tried anything yet--I wanted to see if anyone knew anything before risking anything with the software.

Well. I think that Decrypter can make the game work on your 5.50 GEN-A. If not.

I suggest you Update your Firmware to 5.50 GEN-D3 (Final). IT has 6.00 Support but Im not sure if it has 6.20 Support. There is this new "Firmware" Tho. Called 5.50 GEN Prometheus. The maker Claims it can play Most Games that Require 6.20 To Run. But to let you know, Some people are complaining that Prometheus is Buggy and doesn't work. Thats what I heard.

So ok.

Use Decrypter And if it works good. If not
Update to 5.50 GEN-D3 Final and Try the game.

===============

If still won't work. You can Try this Decrypter Posted by our good friend PROtalyst. http://www.psperspective.net/index.php?showtopic=47290 (It did say "To work with 5.00 M33" But you can try it)

NOTE: Don't give up. Remember you can change the UMD ISO Mode from Sony NP9960 to M33 Driver for Compatibility.

Before I go for the update, I someone said they couldn't save older games (pre 2008), did anyone else have this problem? I have a lot of older games...

Also, get a second opinion, since I haven't had m33 for a while, but I think GEN C is just a direct update from m33.6

5.50 GEN-C si not stable. It is the Firmware that doesn't much work. Thats why they make a newer. SO I suggest you really go to 5.50 GEN-D3 (Final). This might save your Savegames being corrupted:

Plugin PSP on USB Mode
On PC, Go to (PSP/SAVEDATA). YOu should see many folder there named like (ULUS0239).
Copy all of them and Paste them on a folder on your PC. Then it is now backed up.
Try to update to 5.50 GEN-D3 Final
Once Successful, Go and Put back all your savedata to your PSP.
