How to Put Specific Files on your PSP

Information:

This Guide aims to help PSP Users (especially First Timers) How to Put the Specific File in the PSP. I will try my best to update this from time to time. Until then. Ill put some basic Things first on how to put them on your PSP. Check back for more Updates.

How to Put Downloaded Games on PSP (Requires CFW):


  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On the PC, Go to your Memory Stick Root.
  3. You should see a folder named ISO. If you don't have it, Make a folder of it.
  4. Paste your .ISO or .CSO Games on the Folder.
  5. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  6. Play your Game.




How to Put Save Games on PSP:

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On the PC, Go to the Following Path (PSP/SAVEDATA).
  3. Go Copy your Savegame folder (e.g. ULUS17283) on the SAVEDATA folder.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  5. Check and Verify the Save data.




How to Put Official (.PTF) Themes on PSP:

  1. Plugins PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On the PC, Go to the Following Path (PSP/THEME)
  3. Go and Copy the .PTF Theme file to the THEME Folder.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  5. Check your new Theme.



How to Put Pictures on the PSP:


  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On the PC, Either go the the Path (ms0:/PICTURE) or the path (PSP/PHOTO).
  3. Paste the Picture on either the two Folders. Both should work.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  5. Check and Verify your Photos.



How to Put Videos/Movies on PSP (Your Video/Movie must be in the .mp4 Format):


Method A (Usual):

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On the PC, Go to (ms0:/VIDEO).
  3. Go and Paste the Video File on the VIDEO Folder.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB
  5. Check the Video/Movie.


Method B (Rare):

NOTE: This is Based on what other people claims that works If you have problems with Method A (e.g. Video Being Corrupt).

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  2. On the PC, Go to either (MP_ROOT/100MNV01) or (MP_ROOT/101ANV01).
  3. Go and Paste the Video File on either the 2 folders.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  5. Check the Video/Movie.



How to Put Music on PSP:
  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On the PC, Go to (ms0:/MUSIC).
  3. Copy your .mp3 Music Files to the MUSIC Folder.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  5. Check your Music Files.


NOTE 1: To be able to play .wma Music files on the PSP. You must Activate the WMA Codec Support First which can be enabled in the System Settings. (Requires Internet or CFW to Enable)

NOTE 2: For 5.03 OFW/CFW users (Especially PSP3000 Owners) You cannot do Multiple Folders on the Music (e.g. MUSIC/Album/Songs/music.mp3,music2.mp3). If done so, Your Music will come as Corrupted and Most of the time cannot be deleted through PSP Delete Function. To remove, Delete from PC.


How to Put DEMO Games or Homebrew Apps on PSP (Requires CFW for Homebrew):

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode.
  2. On PC, Go to (PSP/GAME) Folder.
  3. Copy the Folder of your Homebrew/Demo Game to the GAME folder.
  4. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  5. Check the Game.


NOTE: Some Homebrews required to be put on either GAME150 or GAME5XX. Put the Homebrew folder if told so.



How to Put PSNLover Beta 1.1 on PSP (Requires CFW):

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  2. On PC, Go to seplugins folder. If no Such Folder exists, Make one.
  3. Go to your PSNLover Archive and Extract it. You should get 2 Files
  4. Copy the psnlover.prx File to the seplugins folder on your Memory Stick.
  5. Copy the vsh file and paste it also on the seplugins folder on your Memory Stick.

    NOTE: If you already have a vsh file on your seplugins folder, Just Open and Copy the text from the vsh of PSNLover and paste it on the vsh of the seplugins folder. Make Sure you save it.

  6. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB.
  7. On the PSP, Go to Recovery Menu by Booting Up while holding the R Shoulder button.
  8. On the Recovery Menu, Go to Plugins and Enable the psnlover.prx [vsh]
  9. Now go to Configuration under Recovery Menu.
  10. Set your Fake Region to Debug Type I.
  11. Disable M33 Network Update Feature.
  12. Exit Recovery Menu and Try to go to PSN.



How to Put CWCheat 0.2.2 REVD on PSP (Requires CFW):

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  2. On Your PC, Extract The CWCheat Archive. You should get a Folder named INSTALL. Open it.
  3. Go to the seplugins folder of your Memory Stick.
  4. Copy the cwcheat folder from the INSTALL folder and Paste it in the seplugins folder on your Memory Stick
  5. Copy also the Text Files to the seplugins folder of your Memory Stick.

    NOTE: If you already have a game,game150,pops file on your seplugins folder, Just Open and Copy the text from the game,game150,pops of CWCheat and paste it on the game,game150,pops of the seplugins folder. Make Sure you save it.

  6. Exit USB Mode and Reboot PSP on Recovery Menu.
  7. On Recovery Menu, Go to Plugins and Enable CWCheat on [pops], [game], [game150].
  8. Exit Recovery Menu and Start a Game.
  9. When you reached the game's Menu, Hold Select Button for 3-5 Seconds. A Screen should come up.
  10. From there you can Enable Cheats. And have fun.



How to Install Cheat Database on CWCheat:

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  2. Extract the Archive Database. You should get a CHEAT.db File.
  3. Copy the CHEAT.db File to (seplugins/cwcheat) of your Memory Stick.
  4. Overwrite the old Database if asked.
  5. Safely Remove from USB Mode.
  6. Test and Verify if Cheats are working.



How to Put CXMB 5.50 GEN-D3 on PSP (Requires CFW):

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  2. Extract the RAR Archive and you should get 2 Files.
  3. Go to the Root of the Memory Stick
  4. Copy the cxmb folder to the Root of the Memory Stick.
  5. Go to seplugins folder on your Memory Stick.
  6. Copy the vsh file to the seplugins folder.

    NOTE: If you already have a vsh file on your seplugins folder, Just Open and Copy the text from the vsh of CXMB and paste it on the vsh of the seplugins folder. Make Sure you save it.

  7. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB Mode.
  8. Reboot PSP to Recovery Menu.
  9. Go to Plugins and Enable CXMB [VSH].
  10. Exit Recovery Menu.



How to Put Custom (.CTF) Themes on PSP (Requires CFW):


  1. Download any .CTF Theme files for PSP
  2. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  3. On the PC, Go to (PSP/THEME).
  4. Copy the .ctf File and paste it in the THEME folder.
  5. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB Mode.
  6. On PSP, Go to Theme Settings and choose your theme.
  7. Once you choose, your PSP will Restart and Custom Theme is installed.



NOTE: Your Custom Theme file will only show in the Themes if you have CXMB installed and enabled. your .PTF files will not be shown while CXMB is enabled.



How to Put ChickHEN R2 on PSP (Requires PSP 3000 or Unhackable PSPs w/ 5.03 OFW):

  1. Plugin PSP on USB Mode
  2. Extract the ChickHEN R2 Archive. You will get a folder named SLIM and a h.bin
  3. Go to the root of the Memory Stick. Paste the h.bin there.
  4. Go to either PICTURE folder or PSP/PHOTO (If no PHOTO folder, make a Folder named PHOTO)
  5. On the Extracted Files, Open SLIM Folder and copy the ChickHEN Folder on the PICTURE or PHOTO Folder.
  6. Safely Remove Memory Stick from USB Mode.



How to Run ChickHEN R2 on PSP:


  1. On PSP, Go to System Settings.
  2. Set your Language as English
  3. Set your Character Set to US (437)
  4. Turn Off UMD™ Auto-Start
  5. Turn Off UMD™ Cache



Method A:

  1. On PSP, Go and HOVER on the Memory Stick Icon of the Photos Menu.
  2. Wait till the Black Menu Icon Appear on the Bottom Right portion of the screen. Press X Once Seen.
  3. Don't Click the ChickHEN Folder Just yet. Still wait for the Black Menu Icon to Show up. Once Seen, Press X.
  4. Now Don't click anything. Wait for it to work.



Method B:

  1. On PSP, Quickly Press the Memory Stick Icon of the Photos Menu.
  2. Press X as soon as you see the ChickHEN Folder.
  3. As Soon as you see the files (not yet loaded) Quickly Scroll Over Down The Bottom.
  4. Wait and don't press any button.



NOTE: If you are frustrated making ChickHEN work, Don't be angry. ChickHEN is not Stable enough to work everytime. Just be Patient. There are 2 More HEN Loaders to be used.
