I have this problem on my psp where the D-pad only moves to the right, all my other buttons work correctly except for the right directional button Is there anyway I can fix this? Please and thanks
This happens to me also. Maybe your PSP is too old and you need to clean it up, or you over use it so the chip thing inside your PSP is screwed.
SOLUTION:
1. Open your PSP. Here's the guide. Taking Apart you PSP 2. Clean the chip thing(i dunno what it is) 3. If it doesn't work then you need to replace it a new one.
Hope this helps.

I thought the same too. But It might be just the Rubber inside of it. Go follow the guide and Replace the rubber fitting. Probably your D-Pad is worn out so you need to change it.
