Hi guys, well I'm not really sure if this is posted in the right section but it is the Help forum so I'll just ask my pleas here.

So recently, like today, I just bought a PSP game (P3P <3 cus I am such a fan of the SMT series) but it doesn't seem to be working on my hacked PSP.
I have CFW 5.50 Gen-D3, and am admittedly a noob at this kind of stuff.

If anyone could tell me what I could do that would be great, but if all else fails I guess I could download it....but seeing as I actually have the game I'd like to be able to play it...

Thanks in advance smile.gif

You bought a game? Was the game you were trying to play a game that requires a firmware higher than 5.50?

Remember, don't update! This would remove your CFW and install the game's official firmware instead, if the firmware problem is the case here.

The game that I bought just came out yesterday. (hehe i feel kind of guilty because it is the first PSP game I bough due to my CFW haha) It is Persona 3 Portable.
Since it is newest, I suppose that my firmware is too old then, judging by what you said.
So I cannot play the game on my current firmware without destroying my current firmware (5.50 gen-d3)? ):
oh well. thanks you your help.

You must have a game that requires firmware that is higher than 5.50 Gen-D3 can play or decrypt. If you upgrade to the latest OFW the game should work; however you will no longer be on CFW and will not be able to play ISO/CSO games or homebrew. If you have a pandora you could switch back to CFW easily; But if you can't get your hands on a pandora don't try it

Yea, if it's a new game, then it's probably a game that requires firmware 6.xx

My best bet would be to download a copy of it that has been patched for your firmware.

Hmmm... I don't know if this will work but ill try to help you.

Since your PSP has CFW, Go and Press the Select Button of your PSP and on your VSH Menu, Change the USB DEVICE to UMD Disc.

Plug in USB and on Computer, Go and Find your Removable Disk (PSP).

You should see a .ISO file named as UMD9660 or something like that.

Copy it and Paste it somewhere on your PC.

Exit USB Mode and on PSP, Change back UMD Disc to Memory Stick on your VSH Menu.

Go to USB Mode again and copy the game and paste it on your ISO folder of your Memory Stick.

Try using this decryptor - http://www.psperspective.net/index.php?showtopic=47290

Once decrypt. Try running the game.

I haven't done this method yet but this is worth a try instead of downloading something you have. wink.gif

Hope this helps! happy.gif
