Alright, well i log into my computer.

It boots up normally 100%.

But after i log into it, what happends is, it only gives me a black screen and my cursor, i can moove my cursor fine, and access ctrl alt delete, but my desktop won't load.

I've looked into it abit and saw that explorer.exe wasn't loading, but i can't manually load it , it just freezes ...

It might by my graphics card, i just bought a new one, nvidia 220 HD , brand is msi.

But my computer was working fine for about a week with that, so i doubt it's that....

Any helpful replies would be greatly appreciated, thank you smile.gif

How long did you wait before you got impatient and you did ctrl+alt+delete? My Computer has has gone into that black screen after logging in a couple of times in the past, if I don't do anything to it takes severav minutes to recover it's self and loads my desktop fine. The next time I boot it loads fine.
If you think there is really something wrong with it: put your Windows 7 disk in the drive and boot from that, When you get to the screen where it says install Windows 7, at the bottom of that screen you will see an option to Fix Windows that's the option you want. It takes you to a special menu, choose the option to repair the current OS it shows you a list of OSs it has found on the machine Choose Windows 7 click Start to fix it. It reboots, it works, that's it.

Yep. Me and goldfinger experienced the same. It just happened to me yesterday actually lol. All I did was restart PC and boot on Safe Mode. Safe Mode should work and you will be able to go to the Desktop. Then If you know what the problem is. Fix it from there. I don't know the reason why I got that Black Screen so I just went to SafeMode and Restart on Normal Mode. It works for me couple times.

You also might be using a Theme that Won't load during windows Start-Up. If you were able to get in the Desktop try Using the Default Windows 7 Theme.

I hope this helps! happy.gif
