Im sure you can do it on a phat but I recommend you to use 5.50 GEN-D3 that 5.03 GEN-C.

With 5.50 GEN-D3:

You have Full CFW installed
More games playable
More plugins compatible

I don't think there is any reason to go to 5.03 from 5.50.

If you really wanted to then:

Go downgrade your PSP to 5.03
Download MHUSpeed3 and copy the PHAT folder to the PHOTO folder ( only know that ChickHEN has a special exploit for fat user)
Do the exploit
Use CFWEnabler

Im not 100% sure if HEN exploits works on PSP 1000 systems.

Hope this helps somehow happy.gif

Well CFWEnabler are used to enable your PSP to go to CFW on PSP. If you use this, you can play PSP Games and your Firmware will now be called as 5.03 GEN-C. There are many types of CFWEnabler that gives you different Firmware. The most updated is the 5.03 GEN-C.

You can download the Latest CFWEnabler here - http://pspslimhacks.com/custom-firmware-5-03-gen-c-released/

Put it in the GAME Folder on your Memory Stick and run it just like a game.

Hmm...seems that 5.03 GEN-C cannot be installed on Phat PSPs. Im not sure tho. But do you really want to use 5.03 GEN-C on a Phat? You know you can use CFW 5.50 GEN-D3 instead of 5.03 GEN-C. 5.50 GEN-D3 is more compatible with games and you don't need ChickHEN anymore.

I cannot help you about that error you get on GEN-C Enabler. But you said that your PSP is slow. Never heard of a PSP being slow but it could be that your CPU Clock Speed is set to low. To fasten it, Go to VSH Menu and set your CPU Clock Speed to 333/166 and aswell the Game Clock Speed.

You can also try using different CFWEnabler. Try this CFWEnabler 3.60 - http://pspslimhacks.com/custom-firmware-en...-3-60-released/

You can try again GEN-C by recopying the files. might be corrupted.

@ icejack1

He doesn't want to use 5.50 GEN-D3. He wants to use 5.03 GEN-C on his PSP Phat.

@ Speedodido

I once know that pic. But I don't use MHU anymore. I don't remember it by now. Well seems that Phat PSPs cannot Take 5.03 GEN-C. Im not sure tho. Why do you want 5.03 GEN-C Anyways? 5.50 GEN-D3 is very desame with GEN-C only it is more better. Im not forcing you or anything but its better to go 5.50 GEN-D3.
