Hmm...5.50 CFW going down to 5.03 OFW? I don't think that can happen lol. Are you sure you have 5.50 GEN? or you mean 5.03 GEN? They are different and most of the time, 5.03 is installed on PSPs which are unhackable with Pandora.

Could be that your using one of those Unlucky PSP and you are forced to use ChickHEN.

Probably your trying to install CFW through ChickHEN and it won't work. Restart usually happens if it failed to load.

Make sure you:

Disable UMD Cache
Disable UMD Auto-Start
Set Language to English
Character set to US

This can be adjusted on the Settings on your PSP's XMB.

If Im wrong. Please do tell. Im a bit tired while typing this...sleep.gif

A PSP 2004 has a TA-088 v3 so it would have to run ChickHen to enable CFW; because ChickHen runs on RAM and only masks the firmware installed in flash, if you completly shut it down you loose that mask and you should revert back to the 5.03 Firmware. I am not sure how you were able to get 5.50 CFW on your PSP without bricking it, 5.03 gen C was designed to decrypt and play most of the newer games using the ChickHen mask.
A pandora wouldn't allow you to enter service mode and flash the firmware so you will need to install ChickHen again, and try not to completly power down your PSP (sleep mode is fine, but if you completely power off you will reboot in OFW) and I wouldn't risk trying that 5.50 CFW again because if you brick it you will not be able to fix a psp 2004, instead try 5.03 gen C.
