[indent]Ever wanted the high 3D explosion sound quality out from your cheap n' standard headphone during movies and games? Or are you more of a music lover? If you have Windows 7 installed on your system, then you're in luck.

Regardless any Windows 7 editions all should works as the same. And not only headphones, it amplifies your subwoofers too

*Warning: Playing high bass volume on standard laptop speakers may break it. Please use headphone*

3 STEPS ONLY:
1. Taskbar volume control, and click on the speaker on top to open Sound Properties.

2. Go 'Enhancement' tab, check on the 'Bass Boost' if unchecked. You can ignore other options which i don't find them useful. Then click on 'Settings'.

3. Adjust the sound quality; Hz is the sound clearity you don't want to set it too low, sounds will be mumbling. Around 75Hz to 50Hz depends what you like. dB is the bass you want to set where i find it -12 to -15 is the most suitable for headphones.

OK all to save and start your WMP or any players, ingame, movies, youtube, anything its under Windows7's volume control.

Or you can start it right away testing the sound quality : Promo site http://www.satoshiimano.com/

I tried to do this on my desktop PC and the Enhancements Tab is not there. I tried this on a laptop and it works. Hmm does having a SoundCard change this? I have Creative Audigy 5.1 Speakers.

Probably i have Realtek and i only get sound booster no bass so its probably your sound card. Try updating your drivers for your sound card and maybe you will see an enhancement tab

Interesting, didn't know the feature doesn't work on certain audio chipset. My laptop is with SigmaTel audio but using Win7's unified driver it recognized as 'High Definition Audio Device'.

Another thing is i'm using Windows 7 Ultimate. I never tried other editions so i couldn't tell.

I also found out the settings posted above doesn't always work the best for you. Headphone quality does affect the sound output dramatically. But you can always play around the settings to get the best experience out from your headphone/speaker set.

Hmm...I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate. Tried this and works on my sis' laptop that I think uses Conexant Audio Device. Better go download Driver from Creative itself. Windows 7 automattically installs my drivers for Sound Card and Video Card.
