I couldn't Find the right spot to ask this but I figured it sort of has to do with computers.

My camera has a E:31:00 Error Code and it needs to be formatted. Is there a program or a way to format my Sony Handycam DCR-SR45?

I have never heard of formatting the camera maybe it is talking about about the SD card or something then maybe you can insert the SD card into the computer and format

Yes as Banshee said. Since your camera has a hard drive try pluging it into your computer, go to My Computer and find your camera drive, then right click and press format. If that doesnt work i would call the sony tech support
