I think it's DVI, since DVI has the same maximum resolution as HDMI.

Yup its dvi. I do it all the time S-video gives you an unstable image

rofl, I experience that with my cable box, I've been running off of my HDMI while my PS3 is broken.

DVI is HDMI without sound
they both stream information uncompressed
