I have an HP laptop that has had XP, Vista (original OS), and now 7. It has never displayed the time remaining on my battery. The percentage, yes, but not the time estimation. It's a little thing, but annoying, nonetheless. I was just wondering if anyone knows why this is and if there's something I can do about it.

you can detach your batterypack while computer is shutdown and reattach it. if that doesn't work try right clicking properties on the task bar and going to system icons and checking battery.

there are some wigets for windows sidebar that allow you to view the time remaining, but each one is different enough that it can me drastically different and not all will work with windows 7.

If you saw my freeware thread, there is a similar program to rainmeter, called samarize, that does include a battery clock. However I do not think it has vista/7 compatibility.

I have actually tried all of the battery meter gadgets smile.gif. None of them did it either. I did install Rainmeter right before my laptop took a poop on me. Haven't reinstalled it since, but I do remember that it didn't display it either. I will check out samarize, but I'm beginning to think that my hardware just does not allow for it which is weird as hell. Anyway, I will check it out, thank you Wraith.
