hmm. try booting into safe mode and use a antivrus program. i had the same type of virus, couldn't open some programs and stuff like that. anti-malware bytes works pretty good. thats what i used to get rid of that virus. after that the computer was workinng fine there after.

First i need to know its specifications.
Question:Is there a Protection Software named System Security that claimed your PC has a total of 38 spywares?

i must do this before i answer your problem. smile.gif

There is one option that will always work...

1st. Backup all your files that you want (School documents, movies, music, pictures, ect.)

2nd. Do a clean install of windows, there is a recovery disk that came with your PC.

It should look something like...

3rd. Run the install.

You can backup your files here www.box.net if the total is under 1gb. Or you can use an iPod, Flash drive, or an external HDD. Cameras with HDD's also work quite well.

* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
