The Computer Help section is for those in need of help regarding their computer, whether it be software/hardware issues or just general enquiries. Due to this section being open to the community please be aware that all responses may not be 100% correct, this section relies on the support of our members.

When posting help topics please:

Hi so im trying to play gta4 on my pc but it runs super slow sad.gif but my specs are past recommended specs: intel i7 2.66ghz, nvedia 280, 12gb DDr3 ram 1600mhz, 1tb hard drive, windows vista hp 64bit

this isnt over 18 and as for the problem the rqs. are
OS: Windows XP SP2
Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 18GB free hard disk space
Video Card: 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader
Drive: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive

Jen, first woooooow you have super nice computer. Even the most resource hogger Crysis shouldn't run laggy on it.

First thing, check on Run > DXDIAG .. to see if the DX accelerators are enabed on DXDiag graphic tab. Second try update to latest nVidia driver. Third try lower your GTAVI graphic details settings.

Forth..... i suspecting you didnt have drivers for your entire system??!

Hopefully there's nothing need to adjust in BIOS but still can be the problem. And Frank, what Jen mean is no noobish replies. 18+ shouldn't be noob otherwise he/she is an real idiot.

wow!nice specs thats not a PC its a freaking beast!anyways in regard to your prob try cleaning the registry and defraging cus even if your comp is awesome these little probs pop up (btw it would be a good idea to do this daily, i do it every day and find some probs which are then fixed)
